Games

The College play ground measuring about 10,000 sq. m. is well maintained. Each year annual sports meet is a pompous and gala event of this College. The students for over more than three decades are participating in various competitions. They have won laurels in this state-level competition too. Outdoor games like Football and Cricket etc. are held in the playground. Physical education department of the College looks after the progress of sports and games of the college. The College team regularly participates in the Inter-Govt. College and Inter-University Football and Cricket Tournaments and Athletic meets. This year college won the Champion Trophy in Inter-Govt. College Atheletic Meet. The College provides ample scope for development of an integrated personality and it takes keen interest in promoting co-curricular activities of the students. Each year competitions are held in various events like debates, music, extempore speech, quiz etc among the students of this College. the college won 1st and 3rd position in state level Inter-College Quiz Competition at Kolkata.

This UGC sponsored center arranges Career Counselling for the students where companies of different standard used to recruit employees according to their needs.

Equal Opportunity Center

The UGC sponsored center caters on the needs of the female students as well as SC, ST and minority section, who are economically backward by helping them in fixing their objectives with the help and guidance of District Industrial Center and private local entrepreneurs indifferent streams.

Remedial Coaching Centre

This UGC sponsored center arranges special classes for SC, ST, OBC and minority section of the Society in all subjects, under financial assistance from UGC.

Women's Cell

Guidance and counselling Centre for Women students under Lady Teachers interact with the female students on various socio-economic and cultural barriers faced by women.

Health Centre

The college has its own Health Care Center. College conducts a Bi-weekly routine cheek up of the students of this college by a qualified part time doctor deputed by CMOH, Cooch Behar. The college maintains Health insurance schemes for each students for a period of 3 years/ 5 years.

Computer Cell

A computer literacy cell has been functioning in the college since the last couple of years to make the student acclimatize with the changing global scenario.

UGC Networking System

Under the sponsorship of UGC the college runs its networking system with broadband facility. The students of this college can search the internet at the time allotted to them. The College has access to various online journals of International fame through JSTOR and INFLIBNET for both teachers and students.

Coaching Center (Entry Level)

College provides coaching for NET, and SET Examination as well as WBCS & SSC under the sponsorship of UGC. With the help of our wise and esteemed faculty members (namely the department of Zoology, Bengali, History and Sanskrit) willing students are given coaching free of cost.

Memorial Lectures

Memorial lectures are organized for the benefit of the students in each department. This activity brings a reputed luminary of a particular discipline to face to the students of the departments, where he/she lectures on relevant issues within the field of the students' academic curriculum.

Student Project

The Student Project is targeted towards advanced learners. Advanced and promising IInd Year and IIlrd Year students get a chance to run a funded project as a part of this endeavor.

Institute Visit

This activity, like the Student Project activity, is meant for advanced learners. The College arranges for a tour of advanced and meritorious students to reputed institutes for a first hand practical knowledge and necessary research experience in both science and humist disciplines.

Education Tour

Each department organizes educational tours for all students. These tours are both educative and entertaining for the students.

Computer Learning Program

The College arranges for basic level Computer Learning Programs for interested students. The program is monitored by informed and experienced teaching faculties. The Computer Cell of the College has the necessary infra-structure to provide hands-on training to the participating students.

PG Entrance Guidance Centre

This Center trains students for competitive PG Entrance Examinations of the various elite institutes in India. Providing necessary preparatory materials, issuing books and 'question banks' and holding classes by highly qualified is how this cell functions.

National Cadet Corps (NCC)

Admission to the NCC is open to all students of the College. Every year cadets pass the NCC "B" and "C" certificate examinations. They attend various NCC camps in West Bengal and outside as part of the NCC programmes. They also participate in Republic Day parade in New Delhi every year. From 2004-2008 sixty cadets have been employed in defense services.

National Service Scheme (NSS)

The College also has a very active NSS wing, which performs laudable activities to help the students grow up as responsible citizens of tomorrow. The NSS unit holds social service camps in rural areas where students and teachers work in collaboration with local youths in a wide range of socially relevant and awareness related programs.
