Specific Initiative for the Session 2019-20

 

1.Organized programme /activities (July 2019 to June 2020)

 

a) The Acharya Brojendra Nath Seal College Library, Cooch Behar organized a Field Trip to Dholuabari as an extension activity in the neighbourhood community in terms of impact and sensitizing students to social issues and holistic development on 11th September 2019. The venue of the field trip was Village : Dholuabari, Panishala G.P., Cooch behar, Block – I, Dist. : Cooch Behar. 32 Students of UG and PG of A.B.N. Seal College, Cooch Behar, 6 Teaching Staff and 4 Non-teaching Staff participated in that programme. Soma Basu, Librarian, A.B.N. Seal College, Cooch Behar acted as the team leader.

b) The Central Library organized “Mukh o Mukhosh” : A Decorative Art and Craft Workshop on 14th & 15th September, 2019 in the Central Library Reading Room. Sri Abhratanu Ganguly, an ex-student of A.B.N. Seal College as well as a student of Sri Aniruddha Palit, Srijani Visual & Performing Art College, Patakura, Cooch Behar acted as the instructor of that workshop. Twenty three students and relatives of non-teaching staff participated in the workshop and made beautiful masks out of plastic, paper pulp or pitch board etc.

c) In connection to that workshop, ‘Anandamela’ : an Exhibition-cum-Sell of Art and Craft items and Food, was held at college premises on 19th and 20th September 2019. Fifty two students and teachers gave total 15 stalls in Anandamela. Two programmes were highly appreciated and became very successful with the help of the teaching and non-teaching staff and the students of the college.
